Although she lost in New Hampshire, Haley’s campaign demonstrated resilience, managing to raise an impressive $1 million within just 24 hours after the New Hampshire primary. “We raised $1 million in the last 24 hours,” Haley said.

Trump’s warning left billionaire backers like Ken Langone and Reid Hoffman left in a dilemma. Langone took a significantly cautious stance, hinting that he awaited Haley’s performance before considering a potentially substantial financial contribution.

Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, reportedly closed his wallet while closing his financial backing towards Haley.

Dmitri Mehlhorn, an adviser to Hoffman, said, “To raise more money for Governor Haley, I’d have to see a path for her to win the primary,” followed by, “That was plausible if she won New Hampshire, but I don’t see it now.”

As Trump’s last opponent in the Republican presidential nomination race, Nikki Haley managed to cause more difficulty for Trump than anyone expected, but after the significant New Hampshire primary defeat, it’s difficult for even the most optimistic anti-Trump supporter to see a way for her victory.

Donors were drawn to Haley for a variety of reasons, including her foreign policy and abortion views and the potential to distance America from Trump, but it looks like Trump’s popularity has proved superior, “No one went into this thinking the odds were that likely,” said an advisor to Haley.
